What's a CSA and how I'm cooking THESE veggies this week

Tuesday I picked up organic veggies from my friend's farm in Pennsylvania. He runs a "community supported agriculture" (CSA) share. Have you heard of a CSA before?

You pay a farmer a lump sum of money at the beginning of the farming season and in total, you pay less for fresh, organic produce that's being harvested from the farm every week. And my favorite part... you pick up your veggies on the farm and avoid the grocery store (yay!)

I made a video to show you...

  • what veggies I got this week

  • the simple and optimal ways you could use them

  • do you have to eat organic to lose 1-3 pounds a week like my clients do (the answer may surprise you!)

  • It's my first time doing it and I'm excited to share what it's been like

Here’s farmer Katy and the veggies I picked up this week…

My #1 tip top tip for eating healthy during COVID_19

This is the #1 behavior change I teach my clients (once their custom eating plan is in place). Why? Because it’s that dang important.

If there’s junk in your house or non optimal foods, it’s only a matter of time until you eat them (and there’s nothing wrong with you for that! You’re a human who is wired that way!) So, make it a hell of a lot easier on yourself and ditch the junk... don’t bring it into your safe space... your home. Especially while you’re trapped in it for another month! #stayhome

Then, you don’t have to worry about #willpower 💪🏾 Instead only keep your house stocked with optimal foods you love.

For example, at night when I want something sweet, there’s no chocolate or ice cream in my house.

But I do have frozen bananas ready to go for banana ice-cream and I eat big ass, guilt-free bowls whenever I want. (Comment if you want the recipe). 👏🏽

Take Control Now Question

🤔 What’s one food you’re struggling having in the house right now? What do you know you can’t bring in the house?

How Suvi Lost 25 lbs in 9 Weeks (and Gained SO Much More) Eating Optimally

Before working together, Suvi gained about 50 lbs in 4 years after being diagnosed with hypothyroidism. She could barely tie her shoes and put socks on from her stomach being in the way and how her heard would feel bending over. She was struggling to pick up her one year old.

Now, after just 9 weeks of eating optimally (no portion control or calorie counting), she's...

  • down 25 pounds

  • lowered her LDL cholesterol 39 mg/dL,

  • feels like herself again,

  • her confidence is back,

  • she's putting herself first AND

  • she can easily and happily pick her children up and play with them again.... something that brought tears to her eyes during our interview.

She accomplished this ALL while a family crisis hit 3 weeks into our time together and while having to #stayhome because of #COVID19.

We share her weight loss graph in the video.

Watch Suvi's success story below to learn why she was hesitant of working together and how she feels now that she's "on the other side."
