How healthy food can STOP weight loss
/I went snowboarding today and made a video for you once I got off the mountain...
I was inspired by the cashew sour cream episode of yesterday's Munchie Motivation where I showed how and why to make it and 10 ways to use it (it's SO good!).
This is why...
** Just because a food is healthy, doesn’t mean it’ll help ya lose weight. **
I teach my clients how to eat without portion control or calorie counting. They learn how to eat foods that are highest in nutrition, low in calories and make you feel full so u can just eat, lose weight and stay there... like the human body is designed to do.
Some healthy foods though, are really high in calories but take up a small space in your stomach so you almost have to over eat in order to stay full.
Cashews and nuts are a perfect example...
100 g of cashew is 553 calories (USDA Nutrient Database source)
100 g of sweet potato is 95 calories (USDA Nutrient Database source)
Same weight/amount of food, but look at that calorie difference!
If you were to eat the same # of calories, you’d have so much more food to eat with the sweet potato which is a good thing because quantity is partially what helps u feel full.
